A Pile of Leaves Costume

Looking for a quick and easy last minute costume for Halloween? I made this Pile of Leaves costume for Evangeline in only a few hours! This costume is super cute and paired with a tiny child's rake, you can have a unique, handmade costume ready for Halloween night!

I bought a bunch of faux Maple and Oak leaves from AC Moore during a sale promotion. I used about 6 bags of leaves for her size 2T outfit. The outfit was a pair of red fleece pants and a long sleeve red t-shirt. These are simple basics that you may already have tucked away in dresser drawers!

Using my trusty hot glue gun, I started at the bottom of the garments. Working my way up, I glued leaves in a random pattern covering both the front and back. The headband was another item that I already had in my home! Using hot glue again, I covered the top of the brown headband with leaves.

Now Eva is smiling and ready for a fun night of trick-or-treating!

  5. Though it can be tiring, but purchasing a costume can really be fun and enjoyable. It is surely a challenge for you, but when you are on to get a costume for couples, the challenge might get tougher.
